The Lithuanian Academy of Sciences expert commission awarded first place (December 1, 2021) for organizing Europe's inaugural quantum education initiative in Lithuania.
In 2020, the European Quantum Week reached Lithuania for the first time — an initiative launched by the European Commission and the Quantum Technologies Flagship consortium.
The educational sessions engaged a diverse audience: students, corporate representatives, adult learners, and vocational training centers, spanning from Vilnius to Klaipėda. Over 1,400 participants across Lithuania — a participation level achieved exclusively by Lithuania among all participating nations.
The achievement gained international recognition: "Europhysics News" published my article in its 2021 second issue.
This work grew into the Global Quantum Day initiative, launched on April 14, 2022, now involving over 65 countries — including Caltech, Birmingham, and Oxford universities.
Thank you to the Academy, FTMC, EPS Young Minds, and the Lithuanian Physical Society for their support!
