Erwin Schrödinger — one of the most important founders of quantum physics, a Nobel laureate, famous above all for his thought experiment with a cat.
The thought experiment: a cat is placed in an isolated box containing a device with a 50% probability of killing the cat within an hour. The question — after one hour, is the cat alive or dead?
