On 16 October "Brief Physics Lecture" (Trumpa fizikos paskaita) reached Pasvalys! Over a virtual video bridge we met pupils of Pasvalys Lėvuo Basic School and together looked at physics from a different angle – not as formulas in a textbook, but as a way of understanding the world we live in.
My sincere thanks to Dalia Stabrauskaitė, Head of Education Programmes at the Secretariat of the Lithuanian National Commission for UNESCO, who made this meeting possible.
The Lithuanian National Commission for UNESCO also wrote about the meeting: post on their Facebook page
Distance is no longer an obstacle – science can reach every classroom, wherever it is. I hope that for at least one pupil this conversation sparked the curiosity from which a great discovery may one day grow.
Thank you to the pupils of Pasvalys for their attention and questions!
