Time seems self-evident to us. It flows, it runs, sometimes it drags on too slowly and sometimes there isn't enough of it. But what actually is time? Are the past, present and future really as clearly separated as we are used to thinking? And does physics leave room for time travel?
We talked about this on the LRT RADIO programme "Tuzinas" with its host Ignas Klėjus. Why can time flow differently under different conditions? And how much do we really understand about the world we live in?
The conversation is in Lithuanian. If the video doesn't show, watch it on YouTube: "Tuzinas" – a conversation about time and time travel
You can also listen to the programme in the LRT radio archive: Visatos paslaptis tyrinėjanti fizikė Mažena: hipotetiškai kelionės laiku nėra neįmanomos ("Physicist Mažena, who explores the mysteries of the Universe: hypothetically, time travel is not impossible")
I recently talked about time on LRT PLIUS as well – read the post On Trikampis (LRT PLIUS) – about time and quantum physics.
